Alquemi is an small business on a big mission to improve the quality of human lives through the development of natural products and the cultivation of positive relationships between nature and self. In the early stages of the business, we came up with the brand identity together, and from there I developed the visual identity, business cards and branding guidelines.
Alquemi’s primary logo is a minimalist modern combinationmark that incorporates organic elements with the name of the brand to form the alchemical symbol for gold. The brand’s first product is derived from the vibrant golden root of the curcuma longa plant, commonly known as turmeric. Three curcuma longa leaves and the name of the brand encircle a turmeric flower to abstractly form the alchemy symbol for gold, the precious substance viewed by ancient alchemists as containing the perfect balance of all four natural elements: earth, fire, wind and water. The A in ALQUEMI forms a triangle, the shape used to form the alchemical symbols for these four elements.
